Appendix B - Storage of Third Party Alcoholic Beverages
Definitions
Alcoholic Beverage - As defined in The Roommate Agreement Section VI, Subsection c.
Drink - One twelve (12) ounce beer or cooler, or once and one half (1.5) ounces of spirts or six (6) ounces of wine.
Regulations
- Alcoholic Beverages left in common areas, including all common refrigeration units by non-residents are subject to the following storage rates:
- All persons leaving containers containing Alcoholic Beverages in common areas are defined in Section 1 of Appendix B for less than forty-eight (48) hours will not be charged.
- All persons leaving containers containing Alcoholic Beverages in common areas are defined in Section 1 of Appendix B for less than forty-eight (48) hours but less than seventy-two (72) hours will be charged one Drink.
- All persons leaving containers containing Alcoholic Beverages in common areas are defined in Section 1 of Appendix B for less than seventy-two (72) hours will be charges three (3) drinks per seven days starting after seventy-two (72) hours. Subsection b. is still in affect.
- Empty beverage containers, Alcoholic or non-Alcoholic, left for more than twelve (12) hours are surrendered to the Residents.
- Storage rates for Subsections a. and b. are cumulative.
- Request to Store Exemptions
- The storage rates as defined in Section 1 are not applicable if the owner of the beverages makes a “Request to Store” to any resident.
- A “Request to Store” consists of a written or verbal agreement between the resident and non-resident.
- Personal Exemptions
- All residents leaving containers containing Alcoholic Beverages in common areas as defined in Section 1 of Appendix B shall remain the sole owners of said beverage.
